SSTR5

SSTR5 is a receptor subtype for somatostatin, widely expressed in the pituitary, pancreas and gastrointestinal tissues. Activation of SSTR5 couples to Gαi signaling, suppressing intracellular cAMP accumulation and regulating hormone secretion, glucose homeostasis and tumor cell proliferation. SSTR5 is an important target for endocrine and neuroendocrine tumor drug discovery. Our SSTR5 stable cell lines are validated for cAMP assays to support your drug discovery programs.
