MC2R
MC2R (melanocortin 2 receptor, ACTHR) is a receptor for ACTH, predominantly expressed in the adrenal cortex. Activation of MC2R couples to Gs, stimulating adenylate cyclase and elevating intracellular cAMP levels. MC2R is critical for adrenal cortisol synthesis, and MC2R loss-of-function mutations cause familial glucocorticoid deficiency. Our MC2R stable cell lines are validated for cAMP assays to support your drug discovery programs.
