SSTR3 is a receptor subtype for somatostatin, widely expressed in the brain, pancreas and gastrointestinal tissues. Activation of SSTR3 couples to Gαi signaling, suppressing intracellular cAMP accumulation and modulating hormone release, cell cycle control and tumor cell apoptosis. SSTR3 is an important target for neuroendocrine and oncology drug discovery. Our SSTR3 stable cell lines are validated for cAMP assays to support your drug discovery programs.
