C3aR (C3a Anaphylatoxin Receptor) is a Protein Coding gene belonging to the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family B, and serves as the only high-affinity receptor for the complement anaphylatoxin C3a. Upon C3a binding, C3aR activates Gi and Gq signaling, inhibiting cAMP production and activating the PLCβ–IP3/DAG/PKC–NF-κB cascade, mediating calcium mobilization and inflammatory gene transcription. C3aR exhibits dual effects: promoting tissue repair and immune regulation at low C3a concentrations, while driving allergic reactions, neuroinflammation and tumor immune suppression at high concentrations. Our C3aR stable cell lines have been validated in cAMP assays to support your drug discovery programs.
